great model for any stage of builders. The only problem with this model is that you will need to paint alot of things if you want it to look outstanding. An example would be the gun unit, it is completely unpainted and is one color.[light blue] that is due to the fact that it comes molded in that color. other than that this model is great, it has alot of interesting features and the pose-ability is average. CAUTION: even though it is a great model it has some lose joints in the leg unit, but it still holds up the gundam pretty good.

4 out of 5 stars Good, if it didn't need a lot of paint.   June 8, 2010

I liked the look of this model at first, until I took a closer look at the instructions and saw how many colors it was missing. The two beam rifles were completely grey, and almost all the red parts were stickers. And while painting the gundam itself wasn't particularly bad, painting the beam rifles was so long and tedious that I was ready to throw the whole gundam out the window. The beam sabers are blue, which they shouldn't be, but if you take a red sharpie to it it looks just fine. The build was depressingly easy. Even with clipping the parts out and shaving the excess, I completed it within a hour. And concerning the finished product, I had two problems with it. The knees and elbows have rather loose joints. The elbows don't need to be stiff since none of it's equipment is heavy, and the it hasn't fallen over on me, so it's not that bad, but I don't feel good when the knees bend that easy. It seems like it wants to collapse. The other flaw is that it is somewhat back heavy. That severely limits poseability, but if you have an action base or some sort of stand you could still display it just fine. It comes with two parts that make it look like the dragoons (the blue parts on the wings) are deploying, which I personally like. It has it's flaws, but that doesn't mean it's not worth getting. I recommend it, just not to the impatient.
