Picture is misleading. February 2, 2010

Let me start by saying that this really is a good model. It builds relatively solid (though the stickers are a pain in the ass), and looks pretty attractive. However, the picture and description are not what you get. This model is advertised as the Arios Heavy Weapons Type. However, all you get is the basic High Grade Gundam Arios model kit. The missile pods and beam rifle with the red peice, you do not get. It is not a huge problem but if you want the Heavy Weapons Type, you might want to look elsewhere. That said, the model I DID get was top-notch. It built very well, and looks good right out of the box (though a little detail never hurts). A good buy, all things considered - just be informed you are not QUITE getting what you see.
Kick- ass looking robot mode March 4, 2010

I'm an amateur Gundam model builder. I have all the other Celestial being Gundam models in the Gundam 00 season 2.
Pros: Challenging build. This has more points of articulation due to its ability to transform to a fighter plane mode. The decals are also a challenge because I had to be very precise and careful. I wasn't able to place the wing decals perfectly but I can live with it. Assembling the wing took more time and a little bit of thought process. Be careful when assembling these and pay close attention to the picture in the instructions. The extra gun and missile pod are excellent. I made attached the cover for the missile pod in a manner that it will expose the missiles. You can re- align/choose the grooves that is only half deep so the pod is still sturdy while the missiles are exposed. This is not in the instructions. (It could be but I can't read Japanese.)
Cons: The extra gun doesn't have the red markings as seen in the picture. I think this can be colored using the pen. I don't have one and I like it just the way it is. The attachments where you can store the handles of the beam sabers should have been made sturdier. Every time I change the pose of the legs, I somehow knock these off their hinges/ articulations. It's also difficult to change the robot mode into a fighter plane. In principle, this is easily done, but to make it look sturdy is tough. I like the Robot mode anyway, so this is not a big deal for me. But this is the reason why I took 1 star off.
