My three kids received these in the mail for their birthdays, and haven't put them down since. They are great for traveling in the car, and now Tamagotchi has come up with a necklace to attach them to and hold your Tamagotchi close to you. These little toys are to pretend you're taking care of a critter. You will receive a boy, or girl that you can name yourself. They eat, go to the bathroom, need medical care, and sleep. The toy will beep when it wants you to feed him, flush his potty, or just needs company. While your Tamagotchi is full, and rested, you can play games, like Catch the Music Notes, Bump, Flag and other games to make points. When you have enough points, you can 'buy' your critter food, toys, or clothes from the 'shop' mode. This Tamagotchi is designed to interact with other Tamagotchi's and can play games on the computer by using passwords. My kids do that often too. They are well made, but sure would be nice if they were back-lit so that you can see while riding in the car without having to get the light just right. These are mostly found at Walmart, and Target. Wait until Christmas, I'm sure the stores will be loaded with these items. They sell for fifteen dollars at most stores, so don't pay more than you need to. They are only keychain sized, so don't think this is a huge item bulk wise. Have fun, but shop wisely. They are well worth your fifteen bucks! The cool part is, if your Tamagotchi dies (they grow wings when they die and their face disappears from their body), due to lack of care, just press the reset button and a new Tamagotchi will hatch from and egg, and viola, you have a new critter to name and care for.

Hi this is Lauren and Rachel. We are 13 and 10. We are writing this review bc we both have tamagotchis and so do our sisters. we play with our tamagotchis every day because they are so much fun.
Some fun things about Tamagotchis are....
-You get to name your very own pet
-You get to go to tamatown.com and get prizes
-You can earn points and with those points you can buy: snacks, meals, toys, and presents for your friends.
-There are 52 different characters so usually all your friends have a different looking tamagotchi and once your tamagotchi has a baby it will grow and most likely will look different then its parents did.
-Your tamagotchi grows from baby--child--teenager--adult.
-Once your tamagotchi has a baby it starts a whole new generation for you to take care of.
-You can connect with friends tamagotchis and play games against them and they can give you presents.
-You can also take plane trips to hawaii, switzerland, china, and many more places if you buy a plane ticket (but remember your tamagotchi MUST be an adult to do so.)
We hope this helped you decide whether or not to get one.
But remember...... WE LOVE TAMAGOTCHIS!!!!!!

I love this toy a lot. The design is beautiful, the color is beautiful, and it really teahces you responsobilitity. I am a 6th grader and I had went to Target to buy one last week, and the whole row of them were wiped out! So I went this week, and there were three tamagotchis left! I HAD to have this design, so my mom said I could buy it. I'm having so much fun with it, and my friends are too! This is the BEST version ever so far! Bandai, I hope you're making a version 4!!

When I first heard about these, In December, i knew i had to get one. I patiently waited until February 20,2006 to buy one. Once i got it, i couldn't put it down. I take it with me everywhere. Even to school, though im not allowed to. I am in 6th grade, and if everybody i know in 6th grade has one, it has to be cool!

I just got this tama for Easter today and I am IN LOVE WITH IT!

There are new characters, items, and secret codes. I went on www.tamatown.com and it is REALLY awesome!!!!!!! You can visit your parents and grandparents, get souvenirs, and play games. The coolest part is visiting the king. He gives you presents. Version 3 is really high-tech and has 6 games, 4 choices for meals and snacks, and an extra visiting feature when you connect up with another V3 (you can share secrets and get to know th other tama better) The coolest new feature is the plane tickets you can buy in the shop. Then, when you are an adult, you can use the tickets and go places like Switzerland and Hawaii. Then, you gte a code which can be entered on tama town to get a souvenir. Overall, I think this is a really cool toy that keeps me entertained for hours. For the 7 shop codes, go on www.tamatalk.com All of the codes, as well as other hints and tips can be found on that website. I find it especially helpful since I just got my V3 today and I am not a very experianced owner. Thank you for reading my review!!!!!
